The predominantly figurative-expressive language of Guadalupe Zepeda seeks to connote a reality captured in the instant of a light brushstroke whose thought and feeling act in synchrony where the fleeting moment arises which is reflected in the emotional-carnal instinct.
In the idea of beauty that hides a delicate subjectivity of delirium and melancholy, however, at the same time it is interrupted with deep incisions and very hard lines of the spatula causing a series of contrasts between light and shadows, a rebellious tone that allows us to glimpse the atrocity underneath of pain, the hope of light and the passion of a constant and unlikely illusion.
