Dalvit Ilario

Born in Mezzolombardo in 1951, he lives and works in Salorno / Salurn (BZ-Italy), where for over forty years he has successfully managed an artisan business of design and construction of majolica and soapstone stoves. The stoves were the first support for the silkscreen engravings on stone of the one who likes to define himself as an "artisan artist".

His works take up an ancient and sophisticated modality, inspired by the engraving art of Albrecht Dürer. His technique is mixed and the artist also uses some new materials for his engravings, which make use of a modus operandi supported, as well as by ancient stimuli, by supports provided by modernity, such as the photographic base, the vinyl sheets, the scalpel and the airbrush. The method used, particularly refined and precious, guarantees the work, the result of a monotype print, a character of uniqueness.

Among the art exhibitions we remember: in 2018 in Cortina d'Ampezzo (BL-Italy) on the occasion of the feast of the patron saint San Martino, in 2019 "Points of view in the Adige valley" at the "Palazzo della Vicinia" in Mezzocorona (TN-Italy) as part of the event Settembre Rotaliano, at the San Maurizio hospital in Bolzano (BZ).
In 2021 he created a two-person exhibition with his cousin Luigi Ress "Churches and castles of Trentino-Alto Adige" at the private gallery Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera, which can also be viewed via the ArtSteps platform, he participated in the group exhibition "Nuvole" in collaboration with the Visioni Altre Gallery in Venice, in the charity group exhibition "Opere SOS per Radio Music Trento".
In 2022, again at the Kunst Grenzen Gallery, he took part in "Mini personal Flash", "Virginia Milici archive donation and artist's book exhibition", the first edition of the food and wine biennial of the Arts "SaturnArs" and the annual Christmas exhibition "Presepiamo" in Rovere' della Luna.
In 2023 he participated in the group exhibition "Arte Trentina" organized by the Ar-Tre Auction House of Trento with the Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera aps cultural association at the Caritro exhibition hall, in the group exhibition "Ali di farfalla" at the Kunst Grenzen gallery against violence against women, created a two-person exhibition with his colleague Paolo Ober "Le sette stanze" at the Casa della Pittura fonetica of Alberto Sighele in Rovereto, participated in the group exhibition "Garda See Art" at the Forte di Nago and in "Rotolo Art: arte in viaggio" at the Venturini cultural center in Massa Lombarda, created a personal exhibition "Incisioni...dal paesaggio all'astratto" at the Circolo culturale recreationalo of Rovere' della Luna, participated in the group exhibition "Omaggio a Bruno Munari" at the Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera gallery in collaboration with Visioni Altre of Venice and in "Presepiamo 2023".
In 2024 he participated in the Modern and Contemporary Art Auction of the Ar-Tre Auction House at the Studio Andromeda in Trento, participated in the Trentino stage "Rotolo Art: art in travel" at the Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera Gallery, participated in the collective exhibition "Autonomy is an Art - Autonomie ist eine Kunst" at the ancient Monastery of San Floriano, participated in the collective exhibition "Opera - non opera: homage to Bruno Munari" at the Sala Mostre Fondazione Don Camillo e Peppone (Brescello), participated in the collective work of the Artist's Book "Il libro sbullonato", participated in "Flying Art" in Mexico, participated in "4 spicchi di luna" at Casa Maria Andreis in Rovere' della Luna, participated in the open-air workshops "A spass per i Lòmeri" in Rovere' della Luna, participated in the second food and wine biennial of the Arts "SaturnArs", participated in the "Modern and Contemporary Art Exhibition n°10" of the Casa d'Aste Ar-Tre at the Studio Andromeda in Trento and at "Presepiamo 2024" at the private gallery Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera in Rovere' della Luna.
