Chapter II: Rules about the membership
Art.4 - Rules and internal law
- The internal organization of the Association is inspired by the criteria of democracy, equal opportunities, and equality of the rights of all members, the association offices are elective and all members can be appointed.
- There is no difference in treatment between the members with regard to the rights and duties towards the Association.
Art.5 – Associates
- Individuals and social promotion associations who, by adhering to the institutional aims of the Association, intend to collaborate in achieving them may be admitted to join the Association.
- Other third sector entities or other non-profit entities may also be admitted as associates, provided that their number does not exceed 50% (fifty percent) of the number of social promotion associations.
- The Association must always be composed of at least 7 (seven) associated individuals or 3 (three) Social Promotion Associations. If this minimum number of associates reduces, it must be integrated within one year, after which the Association must submit a request for registration in another section of the single national register of the Third Sector (RUNTS).
- The legal entities are represented by the respective President or by another person delegated by the Board of Association.
- Membership of the Association is indefinite and cannot be arranged for a temporary period, without prejudice to the right of withdrawal in any case.
Art.6 - Admission procedure
- For the purposes of joining the Association, anyone who has an interest submits an application in writing, shorthand, letter, email, or other electronic means, to the Board, which is the body responsible for deciding on admission. In this application, it must also be specified that the applicant undertakes to accept the rules of the Articles of Association and internal regulations, to observe the provisions that will be issued by the Board and the Assembly, and to participate in the life of the association.
- Applications for admission submitted by minors must be countersigned by the parental responsibility operator. The parent who signs the application represents the minor in all respects towards the Association and responds to the same for all the obligations of the minor member.
- The Board decides on admission or rejection within 90 (ninety) days of submitting the application. The Board must decide according to non-discriminatory criteria, consistent with the aims pursued and with the activities of general interest carried out.
- The acceptance of the application is communicated to the new associate within 30 (thirty) days from the date of the resolution and he must be registered in the register of associates.
Art.6-bis - Membership request refused
- In case of rejection of the application for admission, the Board must motivate and communicate in writing to the interested party, by letter, email, or other electronic means, no later than 30 (thirty) days from the date of the resolution. The interested party may appeal against it to the ordinary Assembly, no later than 30 (thirty) days from receipt of the communication, by means of a specific request that must be forwarded to the Board by registered letter or PEC or other suitable means to certify the receipt; the ordinary Assembly must take place within 30 (thirty) days from the date of receipt of the request. The right to be heard must be guaranteed to the appellant in the Assembly.

Art.7 - Rights and duties of the members
- 1. Associates have the right to:
a) participate in the Assembly with the right to vote, including the right to vote and stand for election;
b) be informed of all the Association's activities and initiatives, and to participate in them;
c) examine the company books. In order to exercise this right, the member must submit an express request for the acknowledgment to the Board, which shall provide within the maximum term of the following 15 (fifteen) days. The inspection is carried out at the headquarters of the Association in the presence of a person indicated by the Board of Directors. It will not be possible to extract copies and / or collect photographic images of the documents examined. - The exercise of social rights is the responsibility of the associates from the moment of their registration in the register of associates, provided that they are up to date with the possible payment of the annual membership fee.
- Associates have the duty to:
a) adopt behaviors that comply with the spirit and purpose of the Association, protecting its name, as well as in relations between the members and between the latter and the corporate bodies;
b) comply with the Articles of Association, any internal regulations, and the resolutions adopted by the corporate bodies;
c) pay any membership fee to the extent set annually by the Board and within the terms provided for in this Statute. - Membership fees and contributions are not transferable, with the exception of transfers due to death, and cannot be revalued.
Art.8 - Causes of termination of the associative relationship
- The quality of associate is lost by:
a) voluntary withdrawal. Each member can exercise the right of withdrawal at any time, by written communication to the Board. The withdrawal has an immediate effect;
b) failure to pay the membership fee, if any, within 30 (thirty) days from the start of the financial year. The Board must communicate this obligation to all members within a reasonable period in order to be able to pay. The member who has not made the payment within the deadline is declared forfeited. The fallen member may submit a new application for admission pursuant to Article 6 of this Statute. - The member can instead be excluded from the Association for:
a) behavior contrary to the purposes of the Association;
b) persistent violations of statutory and regulatory obligations or of the resolutions of the corporate bodies;
c) having caused the Association material or moral damage of a certain gravity. - The exclusion measure, pronounced by the Board of Directors, must be motivated and communicated in writing to the interested party no later than 10 (ten) days from the date of the resolution. The excluded member may appeal against it to the ordinary Assembly, no later than 30 (thirty) days from receipt of the communication, by means of a specific request that must be sent to the Board of Directors by registered letter or PEC or other suitable means to certify the reception; the ordinary Members' Meeting must take place within 30 (thirty) days from the date of receipt of the request. The appellant must be guaranteed the right to be heard in the Assembly. As long as the ordinary Assembly does not deliberate on the appeal of the excluded member, the latter maintains the full exercise of their membership rights, including the right to vote in the Assembly. Up to the date of convocation of the ordinary Assembly, for the purposes of the appeal, the member concerned by the exclusion measure is considered suspended: he can still participate in the meetings but has no right to vote.
- The withdrawn or excluded member has no right to the refund of the membership fees paid nor has any right to the assets of the Association.
