Paolo Frizzera was born in Mezzolombardo in 1953 and completed his studies at the Alessandro Vittoria Art Institute in Trento (Italy).

Luthier and painter, he started his pictorial production taking inspiration from the landscape of his father Andrea (1912-1970) and from oil, acrylic, and watercolor techniques for the "travel notes".

In the 1980s he devoted himself to author copies of the masterpieces of the past and in the meantime, he met the "painter of queens" Pietro Annigoni who directed him to portraits.

In 2014 he experimented with futurism with the exhibition "Depero and the Indians"; in 2017 he exhibited his passion for violin making at the exhibition "Art color sound" organized by the Cultural Circle '78 at the Sala Spaur in Mezzolombardo, while in 2018 he realizes several artistic nudes, then satirical cartoons and sculpture.

In 2020 he exhibited at Covid Art the “monsters” deriving them from the vision of the film “Love and Monster”.

In 2021 he participated in the group exhibitions “Versi in-forma: homage to the poet Angelo Magro”, "Ali di farfalla" at the Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera Gallery in Rovere' della Luna (TN), "La civiltà rurale" and the charity fundraiser "Opere SOS per Radio Music Trento".

In 2022 at Torre Mirana (Trento, IT) he participated in the exhibition “Cinque percorsi d'arte si incontra” with Luciana Zecchini, Guadalupe Zepeda, Yohanna Santos and Andrea Alen.

In 2023 with his colleague Luciana Zecchini he did a bi-personal exhibition in September “LOVING DEPERO” at Palazzo Martini (Mezzocorona, Tn) and in October in “Percorsi d'Arte” at the Intercommunal Library of Mezzolombardo.

In 2024 he took part in the group exhibition "L’Autonomia è un’arte – Autonomie ist eine Kunst" on display from 5 to 28 April at the ancient Hospice of San Floriano - Klösterle di Egna (Bolzano, IT) organised by the Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol Region curated by Giuseppe Tasin in collaboration with the Municipality of Egna (BZ) and Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera aps, he held a solo exhibition "EXPO quadri di Paolo Frizzera" at the Bar Mary in Mezzolombardo, between October and November he took part in the group exhibition "Immagini di parole" at the Forte di Nago curated by the Amici dell'Arte of Riva del Garda, and in the biennial "SaturnArs" of the Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera cultural association and promoted by the Piana Rotaliana Königsberg tourist consortium, the Strada del vino e dei sapori del Trentino, the Municipality and Pro Loco of Rovere' della Luna, Cassa Rurale Val di Non Rotaliana and Giovo, Ar-Tre Auction House Trento, Studio Martorelli - Engineering, Archaeology, Training.
